Exhibition information

You dreamed of the woman between
the river and the sun and the rock
Then I thought of the mountain
and next to the mountain was the sun
and the sun was held by the woman from between the river and the sun and the rock
In the dream there were figures in the water
and when it was cool they came out to the beach
This was dreamed many times
and when you dreamed it you were peaceful

John Finneran (b. 1979) earned a BA from Cooper Union, New York, NY (2002) and MFA from Bard College, New York, NY (2008). Recent solo exhibitions of his work include Goin’ Home, 47 Canal, New York, NY (2013) and The Peaceable Kingdom, Arcade, London, England (2011). Recent group exhibitions featuring Finneran’s work include Inside Arrangement, Mary Mary, Glasgow, Scotland (2014); Hephaestus, Office Baroque Gallery, Brussels, Belgium (2014); The Stairs, Algus Greenspon, New York, NY (2013); and Summer Studio with Anthony Campuzano, ICA, Philadelphia, PA (2011). Finneran lives and works in Los Angeles.
